Brief Summary of Unit

This unit is will be focused on the Holocaust, an event that took place in the 1930s and 1940s in Europe. After
finishing this unit, students know that the Holocaust occurred as a result of many events and people. That it
effected many groups of people then as well as after wards and that the Holocaust was a chaotic and disturbing time
in world history. Students will be provided with a list of important events and people in the Holocaust, be exposed
to some of the major running themes throughout the era and, definitions to some of the terms associated with the
Holocaust. Students will take part in a variety of different assignments including; the making of a documentary,
creating a Podcast, a blog, article, a time line, and online glossary. The unit will end with a comprehensive test to
assess their understanding and how much they have learned.
